Birdair Flying Group ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Waiting list applications: your name, email address, location, licence type, flying hours and experience, plus anything else you choose to tell us.
• Members' area: your account email and any notices, bookings or documents associated with your membership.
• Technical data strictly necessary to serve the website securely, such as your browser type and IP address in server logs.

Why we use it

We use waiting list information solely to assess applications and contact you about membership. Members' data is used to administer the group, the aircraft and its operating documentation. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in operating the group and, where you have asked to join, steps taken at your request prior to a contract.

Who sees it

Only the Birdair administrators. Applications are also emailed to simon@birdair.aero. Data is stored on secure, access-controlled infrastructure and we do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing.

How long we keep it

Waiting list entries are kept while your application is live and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless you ask us to remove them sooner. Membership records are kept for as long as required for insurance and airworthiness purposes.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to our processing of it. Email simon@birdair.aero and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
