About Birdair
Birdair was started by Simon Bird in 2015, after he gained his PPL and bought a DA40 NG directly from the Diamond factory in Austria. He set up the group so other pilots could fly the aircraft without having to buy a share. Members pay a fixed monthly fee and an hourly rate for the flying they do.
It's a small, friendly group with plenty of availability to fly. Members also fly together and share trips.
G-SBSB is based at Redhill Aerodrome, close to Reigate, Nutfield and the M25, and within easy reach of pilots across Surrey, Sussex, Kent and London.
What membership gives you
No equity
Your fixed monthly fee and hourly rate cover the running of the aircraft.
Managed
Maintenance, insurance, hangarage and documentation are handled by us, with checklists, plogs and operating notes shared in the members' area.
A sociable group
Members are encouraged to fly together, share costs and plan trips as a group.
Easy bookings
An online calendar shared by the group and plenty of opportunity for multi-day trips away.
